Nowadays, we all want information asap! Everything should be quick & instantly for us, the attention span has been shortening. We can get easily distracted & the biggest distraction of all is known as [internet].

When we talk about videos & content marketing, attention plays a big role in it. Studies have shown that 80% of people don’t finish reading the articles. [I hope you’ll be one of the 20% that will finish!] 

Videos are more entertaining & they have the ability to catch more the audience’s attention, but it should be well done [ have a great intro & the correct video length]. 

Video intros should catch the viewers in the first 5 seconds

on YT it is important to have in mind that videos will be ranked [YT is the #2 search engine on the planet!] & you want to catch ¿hazle your viewer’s attention. By introducing the topic you’re telling them that you will solve their problem throughout the video instead of wasting their time with the animations they’ll be distracted & won’t finish watching your video.  

Make it clear that you’re going to teach them or how you’ll entertain them. You’ll answer the question that they’re about to ask: why should I continue watching this video? 

       2. use those production elements before delivering the content.

have a structure to deliver them in different ways. By doing it you’ll maintain the audience’s attention longer,  your videos are going to be ranked better & you’ll have more people clicking your video

as we said before, people have a short attention span, therefore, we want to show them something valuable but real quick. You can keep your intro 10-15 seconds.

the intro is more than just graphics & colors, people can get easily distracted by them so you want to engage them visually. You can use music, animation, short scenes & for the surprise elements add some unexpected patterns. This will help the viewers to pay more attention to every intro of your videos. 

      3. reflect your brand

it doesn’t matter if it’s your personal or business brand, keep the style of your identity. Do it by keeping up the same colors & visuals your brand identity has. People should recognize you no matter what platform are you using.
